This small concrete arch is a standard Wisconsin Central and Soo Line design.
The bridge was built in 1906, but filled in around 2004, when Canadian National built a new track at the base of the bridge.
As a result, this bridge would be filled in and closed off, while the historic bridge over Oak Street would be replaced.
Fortunately, this bridge still technically survives, as it hasn't been demolished. Overall, the bridge retains little strucutal integrity as it is filled in.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
The photo above is an overview. The bridge can be accessed from Balch Street.
